NY War Room: Ahead of the Dobbs Decision Anniversary, LaLota Continues to Uphold Extremist Nationwide Abortion Ban Agenda

New York, NY – Ahead of the one year anniversary of the overturning of Roe v. Wade, vulnerable House Republican Nick LaLota continues to support the extremist MAGA agenda of a nationwide abortion ban. LaLota has vocally expressed support for the Dobbs decision, praising the SCOTUS ruling for returning the decision back to the states.

LaLota previously indicated that he would block any federal funds going towards abortion care and reproductive healthcare and vowed to vote for a nationwide abortion ban with further restrictions than what is currently in place in New York. He also accepted the endorsement of the Suffolk County Republican Party, claiming that he intended to represent them well, which included a platform with measures that would outlaw abortion.

Extremist anti-choice Republicans in Congress have already introduced a national abortion ban, and are eager to vote on it, allowing LaLota to continue joining with them as the House GOP threatens the livelihood of millions of women across the country.

“Nick LaLota continues to shamelessly call himself a ‘moderate’ while joining with extremist Republicans to strip away access to abortion and reproductive healthcare,” said HMP New York Press Secretary Alisha Heng. “LaLota is out-of-touch with New Yorkers and House Majority PAC will ensure that he is held accountable and voted out in 2024.”
