NY War Room: Does Anthony D’Esposito Support the Extremist Republican Social Security Cut?

July 24, 2023

New York, NY – Extremist House Republicans are proposing a drastic cut of $183 million to the Social Security Administration. The proposed cut will cause millions of New Yorkers to face even longer wait times and reduced accessibility to their benefits.

NY-04 is home to 140,855 New Yorkers who receive Social Security benefits. In a time where House Republicans are pushing to give themselves a raise while cutting benefits for struggling families, seniors, and disabled Americans, will Anthony D’Esposito stand up for them and vote against this extremist cut?

“Extreme MAGA Republicans continue their war on Social Security by proposing cuts to programs that will hurt thousands of New Yorkers in NY-04,” HMP NY Press Secretary Alisha Heng said. “Anthony D’Esposito is no different as he continues to turn his back on thousands of New Yorkers in NY-04 by refusing to denounce this Social Security cut, and HMP will ensure he is voted out in 2024.”
