NY War Room: George Santos Fails August Recess With Flying Colors on His “Back To Session” Report Card

New York, NY – As August recess comes to a close, George Santos kept true to his fraudster roots as he double downed on lies about his background and flip-flopped through policy stances.
Here is George Santos’s report card:
- F: Came out in strong support of Donald Trump, declaring, “I stand with Trump!” after his fourth indictment, which included a RICO charge and multiple counts related to election interference.
- F: Doubled down on lies when he joined local media outlets, including lies about his resume, asserting, “most people lie on their resumes…it’s the reality,” where his mother was on 9/11 despite immigration documents refuting the claim, and claiming he was staying true to what he campaigned on.
- F: Continued to dodge NY-03 constituents by not holding an in-person, public town hall meeting.
- F: Supported GOP Presidential Candidates running on a MAGA agenda that includes draconian national abortion bans, gutting Social Security and Medicare, and cutting taxes for billionaires and corporations.
- F: Despite going on an attempted media redemption tour, he remained silent on whether he would attempt to stop the House Freedom Caucus’ extremist effort to force a government shutdown unless Kevin McCarthy meets their fringe demands.
“Instead of using August recess to hear from constituents, MAGA Republican George Santos dodged accountability and displayed peak GOP hypocrisy as he doubled down on lies and voiced support for the most extreme members of his party,” HMP NY Press Secretary Alisha Heng said. “NY-03 is fed-up with having a do-nothing serial liar parading around as their representative and will ensure he is kicked to the curb in 2024.”
