NY War Room: ICYMI – MAGA Republican George Santos Doubles Down on His Lies (again)

New York, NY – Serial fraudster George Santos recently appeared on Fox 5 NY to spew more lies about his background and to double down on previous lies, saying that it was “not true” that he lied about everything.

Here are just some of the outrageous claims George Santos made:

• When asked why he lied about his qualifications, he responded with, “not true” and “most people lie on their resumes…it’s the reality.”
• When confronted with the lies he told about his mom passing away during 9/11, he doubled down and said, “my mother was… in the South Tower the day of 9/11.” However, the official immigration documents directly contradict that claim–with his mother still being in Brazil on 9/11.
• He claimed to be “staying true to everything I campaigned on.” However, this is not the case as he has provided subpar constituent services, has yet to hold a single open town hall, and pivoted away from the “moderate” platform he ran on.

“It’s clear that MAGA Republican and serial fraudster George Santos thinks it’s okay to continue lying to the American people as he doubles down on his ‘innocence,’” HMP NY Press Secretary Alisha Heng said. “NY-03 is sick of having an absent representative who votes with extremists like fringe conspiracy theorist Marjorie Taylor Greene over 93 percent of the time,  and will vote him out in 2024.”
