NY War Room: ICYMI – Mazi Pilip Dodges Debates and Doesn’t Vote
January 2, 2024
New York, NY – In case you missed it, the GOP and Conservative Party’s handpicked candidate, Mazi Pilip, continues to campaign with transparency and accessibility as an afterthought with a last-minute cancellation of a candidate debate.
The Lakeville Estates event “was originally scheduled to be a debate that both campaigns confirmed their respective candidate’s attendance for,” but Pilip pulled out at the last minute, and “efforts to reach the Pilip campaign for comment were unavailing.” Pilip continues to be unresponsive to debate invitations, having only committed to one debate that is inaccessible to Queens voters five days before Election Day.
Additionally, Pilip’s troubling voting history revealed she failed to vote for years, voting only twice between 2012 to the time she ran for office in 2021. When asked why, Pilip’s team dodged the question and cited her service in the IDF.
“The GOP and Conservative Party’s handpicked candidate, Mazi Pilip, continues to dodge debates – and ignore any questions about her record – while aligning with MAGA extremists like Mike Johnson on an agenda to destroy Nassau County and Queens,” HMP NY Press Secretary Alisha Heng said. “It’s clearer than ever that there is only one serious candidate who will put the voters of NY-03 first: Tom Suozzi.”
