New York, NY – After coming under fire just last week for his shady efforts to block out the press, MAGA Mike Lawler is now making headlines for banning journalists and photographers from a “public” event on Monday in Westchester.

Mike Lawler said the quiet part out loud when he shared the press ban’s purpose was to “limit media exposure for his critics.” What is Mike Lawler so afraid of?

Amid outrage, a petition urging Mike Lawler to open his town halls to the press has circulated throughout the Hudson Valley. 

“Mike Lawler is so petrified by the idea of accountability that he’s willing to deny his own constituents their First Amendment rights and instill authoritarian press bans instead of answering tough questions,” said HMP New York Press Secretary Dora Pekec. “Hudson Valley residents are embarrassed and outraged to call an extremist right-wing coward Mike Lawler their Congressman.”
