NY War Room: Will Mike Lawler, Brandon Williams, and Marc Molinaro Denounce Their Own Party’s Plan To Slash Medicare and Social Security?

New York, NY – The ultra-conservative Republican Study Committee (RSC) has announced a budget proposal which would put life-saving Medicare and Social Security benefits in jeopardy for millions of New Yorkers. 

Rep. Brandon Williams proudly sits on the RSC, alongside his most extremist fellow Republicans in the House including Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene and Lauren Boebert.

The proposal outlines major changes, including raising the full retirement age to 69 and privatizing Medicare. It also includes plans to repeal the progress made on health insurance subsidies, prescription drug costs, and infrastructure investments passed last year in President Biden’s Inflation Reduction Act.

“Reps. Mike Lawler, Brandon Williams, and Marc Molinaro have shown their true colors by failing to condemn an extreme proposal to cut Medicare and Social Security for millions,” said HMP New York Press Secretary Dora Pekec. “In 2024, House Majority PAC will hold these extremist Republicans accountable, and they will be voted out because New Yorkers will remember when they turned their backs on the preservation of critical social programs.”
