NY War Room: Will Nick LaLota, George Santos, and Anthony D’Esposito Join House Freedom Caucus in Shutting Down the Government?

New York, NY – As an impending government shutdown looms over the nation, the House Freedom Caucus rolled out an extremist statement on their plans to oppose any short-term stopgap unless it meets a slew of their demands.

The fringe agenda they are demanding includes pushing an extremist border bill, cutting funding for the Justice Department and FBI, cutting services for armed service members and veterans, and withholding aid from being sent to Ukraine.

“Extremist Republicans Nick LaLota, George Santos, and Anthony D’Esposito have pushed the House Freedom Caucus’ fringe agenda from day one and appear poised to hold our nation hostage with the impending government shutdown,” HMP NY Press Secretary Alisha Heng said. “LaLota, Santos, and D’Esposito would rather be complicit in destroying America than speak out against this unhinged proposal that would endanger millions of New Yorkers.”
