Washington, D.C. – After Kevin McCarthy declared this morning on Squawk Box that he wanted to “fix” Social Security and Medicare, House Majority PAC Communications Director CJ Warnke issued the following statement: 

“When Kevin McCarthy says he wants to ‘fix’ Social Security and Medicare he’s not only leaving the door open to cuts, he’s also signaling to the MAGA extremists that control his party that he’s ready to completely gut both programs.
